Signup Consent Notice

By creating a student account, you confirm that you are the parent or guardian of the student, or that you are otherwise authorized to create this student account.

Purpose of this notice

This notice explains the signup consent collected when a student account is created. It is intended to summarize the public signup flow and does not replace any broader privacy policy, terms of service, school contract, or district agreement that may apply.

What we collect during public signup

Infinae Labs keeps public signup intentionally minimal. During signup, we collect:

Account email
Student first name
Password, handled by our authentication provider
Consent notice acceptance evidence
Technical and security logs needed to operate and protect the service

What may be created while using Mr. Q

When a student uses Mr. Q, the service may create learning records such as:

Lesson interactions
Progress and attempt records
Lesson notes
Lesson summaries
Technical/security logs
Receipts and payment records if payment happens

What we do not collect during public signup

During public signup, we do not ask for or collect:

Date of birth
Student last name
School
Address
Phone number
Gender
Parent or guardian name

No sale or advertising use

We do not sell student personal information. We do not use student learning activity for third-party advertising, and we do not create third-party marketing profiles from student learning activity.

Account email

The account email is used for sign-in, confirmation codes, password recovery, course access, purchase history, and support. It may be the parent/guardian email or another email that the authorized account creator can access for account communication. Email changes require Infinae support to protect course access and purchase records.

Consent evidence

When signup succeeds, Infinae Labs records backend-owned consent evidence, including the consent notice version, acceptance time, signup mode, user agent, and hashed email/IP evidence. We do not store the signup password in this consent evidence record.

Data retention

Infinae keeps account, access, progress, lesson summary, completed lesson notes, purchase, refund, and support records as needed to operate the service, provide course access, support families, maintain educational records, prevent abuse, and satisfy business or legal needs.

Some live session records, temporary technical logs, and security evidence may be retained for a shorter period and then deleted or minimized automatically. For example, live session stream records are not intended to be permanent student records, while completed progress, summaries, notes, and access records may be retained longer.

If a session is ended for abuse, safety, or security reasons, Infinae may retain a limited incident record for review and support. Infinae does not keep every live chat transcript forever as a normal student record.

AI learning support

Mr. Q uses AI-supported instructional responses inside Infinae’s controlled lesson system. AI responses may occasionally be incorrect or incomplete. Mr. Q supports learning and does not replace a parent, guardian, teacher, school, counselor, or professional academic evaluation.
